Countdown to The New Seven Deadly Sins, Opening August 7
Be prepared to experience opera and musical theater in a whole new way! Not your usual song and dance—this will be an experience like no other--a bold fusion of music and movement featuring creative choreography and stage direction by Nikki Swoboda and music direction by James Barnett, Skylark’s Artistic Director. Twin Cities soprano Bergen Baker masterfully interprets seven musical selections by some of the brightest lights in contemporary opera and musical theater. She will share the stage with dancers Patrick Jeffrey and Sarah Potvin making their Skylark debuts.
Opening night performance begins at 7 pm, with additional performances on August 8 (7 pm), August 9 (2 pm and 7 pm), and August 10 (2 pm).

OktOpera Fest Will Wish Johann Strauss, Jr. a Happy 200th Birthday
Skylark's 4th annual OktOpera Fest will celebrate the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss, Jr, a rock star of the mid-1800’s. World famous for his effervescent waltzes, Strauss also composed light-hearted operettas like Die Fledermaus, presented by Skylark in 2005 featuring Norah Long, Marcus McConico, Jennifer Baldwin Peden, Peter Halverson, and Mark Calkins.
