Happenings at Skylark Opera Theatre October 2026
Celebrate Fall at Skylark's Harvest Time Gathering, October 25
The first season of our Gatherings with Skylark Opera Theatre series kicks off on Sunday, October 25 with the Harvest Time Gathering. Join us for an evening that revels in everything we love about fall: crisp air, good food, and glorious music, shared with friends, family, and fellow music lovers.
Celebrate Minnesota’s favorite season while experiencing opera and music theater in a cozy, intimate, and immediate way.
Helming the evening is Wesley Frye, Creative Lead for the Gatherings series and collaborative pianist for the night. He’s joined by a standout trio of singers: soprano Riley Cardona and tenor Felix Aguilar Tomlinson, both making their Skylark debuts, along with baritone Anthony Potts, returning after acclaimed leading roles in Three Decembers, The Gift of the Magi, and The Christmas Spider.

Your ticket includes delicious savory bites, seasonal desserts, and a tasting flight of award‑winning ciders from Minneapolis Cider Company—the flavors of fall. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the music and fellowship carry through to 9:00pm.

Intimate, engaging, and wonderfully up‑close, Gatherings dissolves the usual space between performers and audience. Seating is limited, so don’t wait—reserve your spot now by clicking the blue button below.
Wear your favorite cozy sweater to the Harvest Time Gathering and win a prize!
Adding to the fun of our Harvest Time Gathering, we’re having a cozy sweater contest! Do you have a sweater that you simply cannot live without? Maybe it’s the sweater worn through with holes but you just can’t throw it away. Maybe it’s an oversized one that wraps you in warm memories every time you put it on. Colorful, quirky, maybe even outrageous—every cozy sweater carries a story. Dig it out of the drawer, wear it and share it on October 25th. You could win a prize!
