Happenings at Skylark Opera Theatre February 2026
Wine, music, and macarons at Sip of Opera, February 14
Celebrate a special Valentine's Day at Sip of Opera
Skylark's third annual Sip of Opera on February 14 focuses on France--the country of l'amour! Critically acclaimed mezzo-soprano Anna Laurenzo performs French music featuring the artistic voices of women, plus several arias from Massenet's opera Werther. Skylark’s multi-talented artistic director James Barnett provides virtuoso collaborative piano. Sommelier Erin Rolek returns to guide us through a selection of French wines by women vintners, curated to complement the music. You'll also enjoy an irresistible spread of cheeses, fruit, and macarons.
Click button below for tickets. One performance only, with limited seating, so don’t wait to purchase your tickets. Join us on February 14th at Nautilus Music-Theater 308 E Prince St., #190 in St Paul. Doors open at 6:30pm with the musical performance beginning at 7:00pm.
Arts Advocacy Day is March 3, 2026
More than 130,000 artists and creative workers make up Minnesota’s vibrant arts community, supported by concerned folks like you. The Legacy Amendment’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund helps organizations like Skylark bring great art to our communities. The arts need YOUR voice to keep Minnesota the State of the Arts. Be a part of grassroots democracy at the State Capitol on March 3rd and support the arts you love.
Can’t make it in person? Make a phone call or write an e-mail to your legislator. Ask the candidates asking for your vote in this midterm election year about their willingness to fund the arts. Your voice matters! For information, registration instructions, and templates for contacting legislators, go to Minnesota Citizens for the Arts' website here.
